科学の不思議は俺たちの遊び場だ！可能な限り軽くて強靭で、しかも燃える材料や宇宙を飛び回る物質や1年で5mも伸びる木などを使い、今年のGNUは出来ている。

基本構造と採用された科学技術は３余年間に繰り返された合成版ボードの試行錯誤、試作、試乗を経てGNUの基礎が創られた。
